Secondary organic aerosol analysis using mass spectrometry

Interest in air pollution has been increased in recent years due to increased air pollution. Particularly, there is a great interest in the causes and risks of fine dust. Therefore, we will investigate the cause and mechanism of air pollution in Korea and analyze airborne fine dusts (especially secondary organic aerosols). The ultimate goal of the study is to identify the major materials through qualitative analysis of the Secondary Organic Aerosol (SOA) sample using mass spectrometry and to analyze the atmospheric concentration through quantitative analysis. This study uses mass spectrometry equipment such as Synapt-G2, Q Exactive and FT-ICR MS.
